Seriously late posting this but late is better than never. 'Specially in this case.
First of all: Jacob Golden is an amazing performer, singer, songwriter and a lovely person to boot.
Because of these factors, this gig was phenomenal. After Jacob's set, my dad even admitted that he was amazing.
He was lovely when we spoke to him afterwards (but incredibly shy, no wonder what with my dad starting the conversation with 'I'd like to introduce you to my daughter...' *cringe* )
Merz, who I'd never heard before, was very interesting, folky but electronic, stripped back but with overwhelming soundscapes.
Overall: top night, and we got a far better deal than those above us, watching the man with the 'god-like boots' finish his set a little earlier than planned...
