He's not Pop exactly. Apparently (according to Wikipedia) he's Baroque Pop and Popera. lol.
Rufus McGarrigle Wainwright (born July 22, 1973) is a American singer-songwriter. Since 1998, he has recorded five albums of original music, several EPs, and numerous tracks included on compilations and film soundtracks. He is the brother of Martha Wainwright, the half brother of Lucy Wainwright Roche, and the son of Loudon Wainwright III and Kate McGarrigle.

I saw him on Rufus! Rufus! Rufus! does Judy! Judy! Judy! last night. I thought he was brilliant and checked him out right away! (and Martha too.)
My favourite song at the moment is Another Believer - which he sang for the Meet The Robinsons soundtrack and Going To A Town (which I had actually heard before somewhere..) - both of these can be heard on his myspace!

He is now quickly becoming a top favourite of mine, I have to say.
His lyrics and music are beautiful. And seeing him live was just an amazing thing. Each day I'm discovering a new song and falling in love with it.
"The Art Teacher" and "Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk" are my two most favourites at the moment.
I'm now slowly learning his album Release The Stars lol and hope to be receiving some of his older ones soon (through Amazon who are bare slow.)
Oh! And while I remember, for the Jake Gyllehaal fans out there...
