I have never actually seen ugly betty although I have seen countless adverts for it! What is it actually about?

Ugly Betty:

Well. It's about a really geeky girl who goes for a job at a fashion magazine, called Mode.
When she arrives a secretary asks her, "Are you here for the before and after?"
So even after 5 minutes after the programme has begun, you know she's gonna get stick like this all of the time.
And she does.
She always turns up in these really old and weird outfits that everyone hates.
She's from Queens.
Abit of a run-down area of America and her family is Mexican.
She has an older sister and the older sister has a son.
Who's called Justin and is like EXTREMELY camp lmao.
He's always begging Betty to take him with her to work. lol.

She gets the job as Daniel Meade's (the Editor) assisstant
(who happens to be quite cute lol)
and he's a bit of a womaniser. Wink

His father owns the whole Meade company.
And he did have a brother but he died in an accident.

So far in the series..
*CONTAINS SPOILERS*
Daniel eventually found love with a woman who works in another department.
But she was using him to get a cover story.
Betty had left Mode to go work for this woman before this and then quit after the whole thing happened.

Most recently.
Daniel's brother Alex has.. er.. risen from the dead so to speak.
He never died.
He became a woman instead. lmao
And plans to take over Mode along with Willhemina - an eevil woman who has been working with Alex (now Alexis) to take over the company.

Erm. Well that's the gist. really. lol.

Yeh it is a bit weird.
It was really good to start with
